Strengthening Defense Ties: Greek and UK Collaboration
On February 24, Greek National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias held a meeting in London with Maria Eagle, the UK’s Minister of State for Defense.
According to Dendias’s updates on defence-secretary-in-london/” title=”Strategic Dialogue: Nikos Dendias Engages with British Defence Secretary in London!”>social media platform “X”, their discussion primarily revolved around enhancing the defense industry relations between Greece and the UK. It also touched upon fostering collaboration between Greece’s defense innovation sector and its armed forces.
Dendias reflected on his engagement at the UK Ministry of Defence with Maria Eagle, stating:

The discussions emphasized exploring ways to bolster defense industrial ties between the two nations while also highlighting ambitions tied to Agenda 2030 reforms in Greece’s military sectors.
During his visit to London, Minister Dendias had further valuable discussions with Luke Pollard, the Minister responsible for Armed Forces. He also engaged with Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, Chairman of the House of Commons Defence Committee and additional committee members.
