Strengthening Ties: Greek and UK Defense Cooperation

The meeting highlighted key areas for collaboration as reported by Dendias on social media platform “X.” The focus was primarily on enhancing the partnership between Greece and the United Kingdom within the defense industry. Additionally, they explored opportunities for integrating Greece’s defense innovation sector with its military forces.

The talks underscored a mutual interest in fortifying ties between the two nations’ defense industries and fostering collaborations that align with Greece’s Agenda 2030 reform initiative. This initiative aims at modernizing Greece’s military capabilities alongside those of its British allies.
Moreover, during his stay in London, Minister Dendias also met Luke Pollard—who oversees Armed Forces affairs—and Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi—the Chairman of the House of Commons Defence Committee. These conversations reiterate both nations’ commitment to enhancing their strategic military alliances.
