Scheduled from ‌March 17 to March 30, this event represents ⁢its ‍remarkable‍ 61st iteration.

Highlighting Indigenous Identity

A⁣ Journey to Recognition

In preparation for this prestigious exhibition, Dr. Darang shared insights⁣ into a rigorous selection process involving two ⁤phases of assessment before final acceptance into the event. ⁢“Initially, artists submit‍ photographs and videos showcasing their‌ work; from there, a jury curates‍ a shortlist,” he explained.

A Sculptor Beyond Dentistry

While practicing as a dental surgeon is his primary profession, Dr. Darang has nurtured an enduring passion for sculpture since ⁤his ⁢youth. His artistic journey took‌ him through self-directed learning initially but evolved further through workshops with ‍esteemed contemporary sculptors across Spain and Italy—specifically citing experiences gained during sessions at The Florence Academy ‍of ⁢Art‌ in early 2024.
