Strengthening Defense Ties: Greek and UK Collaborations
On Monday, February 24, Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias engaged in discussions with Maria Eagle, the UK’s Minister of State for Defense, during his official visit to London.
Minister Dendias took to the social media platform “X” to share insights about their meeting. He emphasized that the talks underscored opportunities to bolster defense industry partnerships between Greece and the United Kingdom. Additionally, they explored avenues for integrating Greece’s defense innovation framework with the British Armed Forces.
Dendias tweeted:
“I had a valuable meeting at the UK Ministry of Defence with Maria Eagle, responsible for Defence Industrial Affairs and Minister of State for Defence as part of my schedule in London.”

The discussions also highlighted ongoing efforts to advance cooperation as part of Greece’s Agenda 2030 reform initiative aimed at modernizing its defense capabilities.
Dendias’s visit included meetings with other key figures such as Luke Pollard, who oversees Armed Forces affairs in Britain. Furthermore, he interacted with Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, Chairman of the House of Commons Defense Committee and various committee members.
