Strengthening Defense Ties: Greece and the UK Collaborate
On Monday, February 24, Greek National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias engaged in discussions with Maria Eagle, the UK’s Minister of State for Defense, during his visit to London.
Through a post shared on the social media platform “X,” Minister Dendias highlighted that their conversation centered on enhancing collaborative efforts between the defense industries of Greece and the United Kingdom. The dialogue also emphasized fostering connections between Greece’s defense innovation sector and its Armed Forces.
Dendias stated:
“I had a meeting with Maria Eagle at the UK Ministry of Defence as part of my official visit to London.”

The two officials explored avenues for deepening defense industry partnerships while also discussing cooperative initiatives linking Greece’s defense ecosystem—which plays a vital role in its Agenda 2030 reform strategy—with corresponding British frameworks.
A Comprehensive Agenda: Meetings with Key British Officials
Dendias’s trip to London was marked by additional key meetings. He met Luke Pollard, who oversees armed forces procurement in Britain. Furthermore, he engaged with Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi—the Chairperson of the UK’s House of Commons Defence Committee—and other committee members to discuss pressing military matters and future collaborations.
