THE LONDONERS COACHES KJN7Y (OJD148R)

\"THE

Believe it or not this vehicle started off looking like the B&D bus in the next shot. It had began life as OJD148R and was a Leyland Fleetline FE30AGR / Park Royal H44/24D new as London Transport DMS2148 in November 1976. On disposal in 1983 it passed to Ensign (dealer) and was totally rebuilt with an Ensign Enterprise coach conversion 1983. It was reregistered to KJN7Y in April 1983 and received a new chassis number. It was purchased by The Londoners Tacho Ltd, Peckham in April 1983, passing to Globus Gateway London tours two months later, before returning to The Londoners in July. It was sold to Hardwick of Carlton (dealer) for scrap in April 1990. I believe there were only three rebuilt and all were park Royal examples, KJN7Y, A741TTW and B56DAR. A fourth was abandoned after the order was cancelled.
