Londoners; a book of appointments for 1938 : diary issued by London Transport – London Passenger Transport Board : printed at the Curwen Press

For most of the inter-war years the Underground Group and then, after formation in 1933, the LPTB issued an annual desk diary. Produced to a high standard the later issues were printed at the Curwen Press in Plaistow and each issue took a theme associated with London and its transport. This, for 1938, looks at Londoners in their broadest sense and includes photographs of various related subjects.

The cover is very Curwen Press in style and production with the single line ‘script’ version of the roundel motif. This was also to be found on the end papers of the LT Country Walks series of books that Curwen also printed for the LPTB.
