London Lights – Battersea

\"London

I’ve always wanted to see Battersea, and with only a brief visit to London – I put this place as the sole destination on my "to-do" list. It’s the largest brick building in Europe, features Art Deco styling, and powered the homes and business of London for the better part of the 20th century. This photo captures it from across the Thames, near a tunnel that carries the mass train traffic of Victoria Station.

The capture process of this one is technically interesting, I think. It is a layer blend of three frames. The first is 2 minutes long with no filters, and the latter two with filters are 7 minutes and 12 minutes, respectively. As it was nearing midnight, I took such a long exposure in order to capture as much train traffic as possible. I’m very pleased with the result.
